Several months ago Katie contacted me about a newborn session for her little guy that was due to arrive a week before Christmas. We met for coffee and instantly hit it off. There is no better feeling than meeting a client for the first time and feeling like they are a friend you haven't seen in a while. We talked about her newborn sessions and her hopes for what she wanted to capture. We also discussed a birth session and she was still on the fence. Many people are, and I totally understand why. I didn't push the subject and told her no pressure at all. A few weeks later she emailed saying she was sure she wanted to capture her precious boy's birth story. I was so excited. I knew it would be a great day and they wouldn't regret it! Fast forward to thanksgiving time and Katie was already starting to show signs of early labor. I couldn't believe it, she wasn't due for 4 more weeks! We were both ready at any moment to head to the hospital. Little guy decided to take his time and on December 15th he made his grand arrival. For her first baby, he came quickly. No question that he was ready to meet everyone. I am so thankful I was asked to be part of such a special day for their family and document Sutton's Birthday.
